Nurse Program
A nurse can help keep drugs organized (hourly fee). Services include:
- Arrange for pills to be picked up from the drug store or delivered to the home
- Keep in-home pills current with doctors’ orders
- Presort pills into daily reminder boxes or other type of dispenser
- Prepare calendar and reminder system to keep track of prescription refill dates
- Review current drugs for possible drug interactions and watch for side effects
- Dispose of old drugs to avoid medication errors
Pills Reminder Service
Three types of reminders can be added to an existing Link to Life® personal medical alert service:
Auto Reminders:
Free with Link to Life® personal medical alert
- Set the emergency response unit to beep at a preset time
- Record a message to remind the client to take their pills
Personalized Reminder Calls:
(additional monthly fee)
- Link to Life® operators can call up to three times a day to remind clients to take their pills
Pill Dispenser with Monitoring:
We can add a pill dispensing machine to an existing Link to Life® personal medical alert unit (additional monthly fee)
- You pre-fill the dispenser (or have our nurse do it) with up to four doses of pills per day
- The dispenser beeps and opens so the client can take her/his pills
- If the pills are not taken out, the Link to Life center will be notified and will call the identified emergency family member or other contact person
